Pilot House & Icehouse
The Pilot House was originally built to house the pilots of the steamboats. It also served as an office for the Raquette Lake Navigation Company. During our renovation, we discovered paperwork dating back to the late 1800s, including freight bills, work schedules for the men who operated the swing bridge between Eagle Lake and Blue Mountain Lake, and a few other treasures.
Today, the building is a two‑family style home. Behind the Pilot House sits the Icehouse, which once stored ice harvested from the lake for refrigeration. It now serves as a cozy hideaway still naturally cooler in the summer and a favorite spot for guests.

Lookout Suite
Lake life on the water! Spacious lakefront first floor quarters with large covered and open deck extending to the water’s edge. Kitchen, eating area, two bedrooms. One bedroom with Queen bed and full bath with oversized shower, second bedroom with queen bed and twin bed. Second full bath with oversized shower. Large living room with picture window looking out onto the lake. Air Conditioning.

Icehouse
This accomodation is tucked behind the Pilot House and offers a very comfortable, private living space. King bed, bath with oversized shower & full kitchen with table. Air Conditioning. This building was used as storage for ice harvested from the lake in the early 1900’s. On display in this room is one of the saws used to cut ice from the lake and gifted to us by the family of Maurice Callahan.
