at Steamboat Landing

We are looking forward to our eighth season as the owners of Steamboat Landing. We’re a family of three from northern New Jersey. Sarah began vacationing in Blue Mountain Lake with her family in 1973, and Jeff quickly fell in love with the Adirondacks while dating Sarah more than 35 years ago. In 2003, we purchased a second home in Blue Mountain Lake. Ethan has grown up hiking these mountains and learning every rock and shoal in the lake. Our time here has always been about being together as a family.

One of our favorite things about Blue Mountain Lake is being able to share it with others. We’ve had incredible adventures and made lifelong memories here with family and friends, and we want that to continue. Jeff’s dream was always to do this “bigger,” and we all share a vision for what that looks like at Steamboat. At Steamboat Landing, we’re ready to enjoy this beautiful place with you. Our hope is that you’ll visit and create your own memories. We want Steamboat to be a place you can escape to somewhere to relax and take in the beauty of Blue Mountain Lake and the Adirondack Mountains.

Ethan graduated from Messiah University in 2021 with a degree in Finance. He manages all aspects of Steamboat Landing and is also a licensed real estate agent in both NJ and NY. He’ll put your vacation on the schedule, light the campfire at night, and will take care of a hundred tasks in between. Jeff is a real estate agent with Terrie O’Connor Realtors in Wyckoff, NJ, and remains the “captain of the ship” with his vision and his logistical and mechanical skills. Sarah works for V&S Floor Covering in Midland Park, NJ during the winter season, and at Steamboat Landing she works to ensure your stay is comfortable and inviting.

As innkeepers, it’s been a journey full of stories. It’s never just been about the three of us running this place. We’re grateful for the behind‑the‑scenes support and the community that keeps Steamboat going. There have been a few “all hands-on deck” moments, with family, friends, and neighbors all playing a part in making Steamboat Landing a special place. This isn’t only our adventure. This is a story shaped by community, memories, and friendships. When you stay at Steamboat Landing, you become part of that story too. We look forward to meeting you!
